Upper Elementary Program (9-12 years old)
About Upper Elementary Program

Our Upper Elementary Program (UEP) is specially developed to meet the natural pace and interests of children between ages 9-12 years old. Naturally, children at this age are:

  • Beginning to look at connections, cause, and effects (refine and advance their understanding)
  • Increasingly capable of abstract thought (problems-solving ability start to appear)
  • Seeking deeper peer relations with friends
  • Eager to contribute to their surroundings

With this in mind, all of our Upper Elementary activities aim to further advance the academic experience of students as they now capable of both concrete and abstract thinking. In response to the need for peer contact, all Upper Elementary activities encourage social interaction through group work as part of each student’s academic work. Involving students to various Environmental Actions (ie: planting Mangrove seeds at coastal area) is also part of activities to encourage them to give positive action to their nature.
